Our team have accumulated a wide range of business advisory and tax planning skills, having previously been partners in or working with both national and regional firms of Chartered Accountants.

Michael Ogilvie (Director) who leads our specialist medical division has previously been a partner in a top ten firm and not only specialises in Profit Improvement advice, but also in effective tax planning strategies for successful businesses.

We are fortunate to have been able to meet some of the leading tax planners in the country, including QCs, and we are happy to introduce these specialists to our clients, when asked.

We are regularly contacted by the press and quoted about medical related matters.

Michael’s views are well known - “We believe that paying higher rate tax can often be mitigated with advice from these specialists - it is a question of your attitude to tax, and knowing where to go to get the right advice to find the most appropriate way of legally avoiding paying too much.

With the much heralded introduction of the General Anti Abuse Rule GAAR, clients are understandably a lot more cautious, but tax planning will always continue to exist, and we believe in finding the best specialists to introduce to our clients, and also to share their skills with our own team.

Through our membership of AVN and other forward-thinking support associations, we have gained access to much of this "right advice", and we continue to make other new contacts to further our specialist skills to help you save tax". We do not and will not condone "tax evasion", but we believe that clients are permitted to organise their affairs in ways that allow them to avoid paying too much tax needlessly. We are not the experts, but we will introduce you, if you wish, to experts in their respective areas of specialism.

Michael was until 2002 a founding director of the Association of Profit Advisers, and also works as a non-exec director for several clients.

Michael particularly specialises in advising the Health Care professions. He is also a founder member of The Professional Speaking Association and talks regularly at seminars and conferences in UK and abroad about the need for businesses to have a "Profit Culture" to be successful in the changing times ahead.
