They do not need a specific reason to start these investigations, and everyone who submits a tax return can be targeted, even if you have done nothing wrong.

Our Tax Investigation Service is designed to protect our clients from the professional costs involved in a tax investigation, because HMRC do not have to worry about the time they spend asking questions.

We encourage ALL our clients to pay for this protection, because dealing with a Tax Investigation is not allowed for in our normal proposals for accounting and tax work, and investigation costs can be enormous.
